SHEBOYGAN, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — An appeal is filed in a ruling on abortions in Wisconsin.
Sheboygan County District Attorney Joel Urmanski is appealing a Dane County judge’s ruling that an 1849 Wisconsin law does not apply to consensual abortions.
Urmanski filed with the 2nd District Court of Appeals based in Waukesha. The move was expected, and state Attorney General Josh Kaul has said he expects Urmanski to abide by the judge’s ruling pending any appeal.
Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin will resume abortion services at its Sheboygan clinic later this month.
