MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — A new report finds Wisconsin’s K-12 teachers have steadily lost ground when it comes to pay.
Wisconsin Policy Forum research finds median teacher pay has fallen on an inflation-adjusted basis over the last decade.
A Wisconsin teacher earning median pay made an inflation-adjusted $67,536 in 2009 but only $59,250 in 2023, a decrease of 12.3%, according to public school data from the state Department of Public Instruction.
