MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — The Republican author of a bill to fund American Family Field says there are not yet enough votes for it to pass the state Assembly.
Representative Rob Brooks of Saukville concedes it will be “a heavy lift”
“But I think we can get there,” said Rep. Brooks. “I think anytime you start negotiations from a starting point where everybody’s in agreement that we’d like to keep the team, that’s a great spot.”
Brooks said he’s willing to negotiate some details of the $700 million plan, including the amount of money from Milwaukee city and county, and local representation on the stadium board.
