(Reuters) – A broad area of low pressure located several hundred miles west-southwest of the Cape Verde Islands has a 70% chance of becoming a cyclone in the next 48 hours, the U.S. National Hurricane Center (NHC) said on Wednesday.
“A tropical depression is likely to form by this weekend as the low moves west-northwestward to northwestward at 10 to 15 mph across the central tropical Atlantic,” the NHC added.
