MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — At the Capitol, proposed legislation would make it easier for retailers to offer E15 motor fuel.
“This is just coming out right now but it’s something that has been in the works for the last couple of years, and another way that agriculture can provide for our energy infrastructure,” said Republican Joan Ballweg, chair of the Senate Agriculture and Tourism Committee.
Ballweg said Wisconsin has several successful ethanol plants, and if passed the bill would provide funding and incentives to expand its availability.
The bill is being circulated for co-sponsorship at the Capitol.
