MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — Madison police are increasing patrols after a UW student was beaten over the Labor Day weekend.
The UW-Madison student remains in critical condition after police say someone brutally beat her early Sunday morning, downtown. Police believe this was a random attack. Assistant Police Chief Paige Valenta emphasizes people should walk in pairs when out late at night.
“If you’re going out, let someone know where you are going and when you arrive,” said Chief Valenta. “Trust your instincts. If something doesn’t feel right, act.”
No arrests have yet been made.
