DAIRY NEWS – Continuing education is key to personal development and business success in today’s dairy industry. Increasingly, customer and stakeholder relationships are influenced heavily by the dairy community’s adoption of new practices and technologies to be more sustainable and efficient.
In support of this trend, Professional Dairy Producers® (PDPW) has worked to add The Dairy Signal® educational webinars to the suite of educational programs already accredited through Dairy AdvanCE® (DACE). Dairy professionals are now able to earn up to 0.5 DACE continuing education units for each episode of The Dairy Signal by watching a live or recorded episode and completing a brief online quiz as proof of participation.
“The Future Ready research conducted by PDPW confirms that stakeholders across the food chain expect their suppliers to be continually learning while offering the best products and services in a sustainable manner,” said John Haag, Dane, Wis., dairy producer and PDPW board president. “Three times a week, The Dairy Signal provides access to the world’s leading experts in dairy research, financial management, economics, leadership, people management and more – and now this popular program is eligible for continuing education credits.”
Dairy AdvanCE is an online continuing education management tool for dairy farmers and other professionals that simplifies finding, tracking and managing continuing education units (CEUs). To learn more, visit www.DairyAdvance.org. Farmers and students are eligible for a free subscription; allied industry professionals can subscribe for a one-time fee of $75.
The Dairy Signal® is a weekly series of educational episodes offering practical insights and resources for dairy farmers and food-system professionals across the value chain. Developed by dairy farmers and members of the Professional Dairy Producers Board of Directors, the episodes air live from 12:00-1:00 PM CT each Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Live sessions offer attendees the opportunity to engage in open Q&A with the speakers; recorded sessions are available shortly after episodes are aired. Access all previously broadcasted sessions at www.pdpw.org.
