MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — It’s uncertain whether the state of Wisconsin will act against Republicans who tried to disrupt the 2020 presidential election.
At a press conference Wednesday, the state’s Attorney General, Josh Kaul, spoke on the matter after Michigan’s Attorney General announced that state’s 2020 Republican electors would be charged with felonies following their efforts to interfere with election results.
“To the extent that people committed crimes in order to try to subvert the results of an election, those folks need to be held accountable,” said Kaul.
Kaul has said in the past he’s awaiting the actions federal investigators take prior to proceeding at the state level.
