MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – Wade Miley and three other pitchers combined for a four-hitter as the Milwaukee Brewers blanked the Cincinnati Reds 1-0 at American Family Field on Sunday.
Miley improved to 6-2 with the victory. He got help from relievers Elvis Peguero, Joel Payamps and Devin Williams. Williams retired the side in order in the ninth to earn his 20th save in 22 attempts.
Jesse Winker singled in the lone run in the first inning for the Crew, who took two-of-three from the first-place Reds.
The Brewers are now just one game behind Cincinnati for the top spot in the NL Central heading into the All-Star break.
The Brewers will travel to Cincinnati for a three-game series against the Reds following the conclusion of the All-Star break.
