MILWAUKEE, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — More information is coming out about the shooting that followed a Milwaukee Juneteenth celebration.
Prosecutors say a 15-year-old boy believed to be the only shooter in the incident was on electronic monitoring at the time for a recent gun arrest.
The teen was also an adjudicated felon for an armed robbery he committed when he was 13. He was sentenced to nine months’ probation in that case.
Prosecutors say the shooting was prompted by a fight between two girls that turned into a larger fight.
Last Wednesday, police arrested the 15-year-old boy who fired at least four shots into the group. Six teens were hit by the gunfire.
The 15-year-old was charged on several counts in children’s court Monday in connection to the shooting.
