GREENVILLE, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — Animals and aircraft don’t mix.
Proposed legislation will make it easier to remove problem wildlife from Wisconsin airports.
Republican state Representative Dave Murphy of Greenville says there needs to be a way to control the issue; he has personal stake in the issue too as his wife is a flight attendant who flies out of the Appleton airport.
“She has on many occasions mentioned to me that she can look out and see deer on the airport property,” said Murphy.
The bill provides exemptions to certain provisions prohibiting use of firearms and lights, to allow nuisance animals to be removed from airport properties.
