MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — Students are demanding UW-Madison expel a student seen being racist in a social media post.
Thousands of students gathered for an in-person protest on campus and across Madison on Thursday, and 45 thousand people have signed a petition calling for the school to expel the woman.
She was recorded repeatedly using the N-word and glorifying slavery.
School officials earlier in the week said they can’t expel a student for social media posts that aren’t illegal but are investigating if the woman violated the campus code of conduct.
