MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — The weather may bring a reprieve for crews fighting wildfires in Wisconsin.
Department of Natural Resources spokesperson, Catherine Koele, says a storm coming in on Friday night could be helpful.
“We might have a little reprieve going into the weekend and then some cooler temperatures next week, so that should also help.” said Koele.
On Thursday, Army National Guard Black Hawk helicopters from Madison helped suppress wildfires near Horicon in Juneau County.
Warm, dry conditions combined with low humidity and gusty southwest winds are expected to create dangerous conditions again Friday.
