MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — Wisconsin’s Josh Kaul joins 24 attorneys general to oppose a Texas federal judge’s decision to block abortion pill access.
Their amicus brief argues mifepristone access allows users more privacy and safety than traditional abortion procedures.
The Attorney Generals also argue the decision will increase late-term abortions, infant health issues, poverty, and educational disparities.
A Texas federal judge on Friday invalidated the FDA’s more than 20-year-old authorization of the drug.
Kaul in a statement said mifepristone has been safe for years.
