DANE COUNTY, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — A Dane County man has reached a plea deal for threatening elected officials.
52-year-old Michael Yaker of Windsor was charged in federal court earlier this year after making threats online against Governor Tony Evers, Dane County Executive Joe Parisi, the County Board, and members of the Sheriff’s department.
Several charges were dropped as part of the deal, and prosecutors will recommend that Yaker spend a year and a day in federal prison.
