WISCONSIN (WTAQ-WRN) — Governor Tony Evers’ Brewers ballpark budget proposal strikes out with Robin Vos.
The Republican Assembly Speaker told reporters on Wednesday that the Democratic governor’s plan to provide $290 million in taxpayer money upfront to the stadium board is likely “dead.”
Vos said he wants to see a longer commitment from the Brewers to remain in Milwaukee for less taxpayer money, and would prefer something patterned after what the state did with the Bucks as the NBA team looked for public support to build Fiserv Forum.
