Mary Ann Mayer, 96, of Sheboygan, WI entered eternal life to join her beloved husband of 74 years, Earl Mayer, on February 8, 2023.
Mary Ann was born November 13, 1926 in the town of Sheboygan Falls to Reuben and Nelda (Brickbauer) Laack. She graduated from Plymouth High School in 1944. Mary Ann was employed as a dental assistant and a sales associate at the H. C. Prange Co.
On August 2, 1947, Mary Ann was united in marriage to Earl Mayer. Over the course of their marriage, they enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling, playing golf, listening to big band music and dancing. Their travels, which often included playing golf, took them to many interesting US destinations, Europe and Canada.
Mary Ann enjoyed the game of golf. She was a member of Riverdale and Town and Country ladies golf leagues. She also enjoyed researching and sharing her family ancestry. In later years, she enjoyed scrapbooking, documenting all of their vacations together, their family and friend’s momentous occasions, parties and get togethers.
Mary Ann is survived by 3 generations of dear nieces and nephews, cherished cousins, special friends Germaine, Ceil, Gladys, Deloris, and Roxanne and Len, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Jeanette Menke and Betty Jane Puls, sister-in-law Evelyn Steinhardt, brothers-in-law Frederick Menke, John Puls and Ray Steinhardt, and nephew Mark Menke.
Services for Mary Ann are being planned for a later date.
The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Pine Haven and St. Croix Hospice for their loving care and support.
