MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Bucks dispatched the top team in the west after a 107-99 victory over the Nuggets in Milwaukee on Wednesday night.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led all scorers with 33 points and grabbed 14 rebounds for a double-double. Jrue Holiday added 22 points while Pat Connaughton finished with 19 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double of his own.
The Nuggets were without four starters in this game. Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Michael Porter Jr. all sat out. Aaron Gordon scored a team-high 26 points and collected 14 rebounds in the losing effort.
The Bucks improved to 31-17 and trail the 76ers by one game for second place in the Eastern Conference.
Milwaukee will back in action Friday night, facing the Pacers in Indianapolis.
