It might not be a surprise to those “in the know” about the golf world, but Josh Grisa has once again been recognized as the Assistant Player of the Year by the Wisconsin Section of the Professional Golfer’s Association of America. Between Grisa, who’s assigned to Blackwolf Run, and David Bach of Whistling Straits, Destination Kohler now has four consecutive wins in that award category as the two players have alternated the honors since 2019. Grisa placed first in the final standings of 2022, racking up 990 points during the WPGA tour, while Bach finished second at 906-1/4. This is the first time the duo finished one-two in the standings.
Third place in the Assistant WPGA standings went to Jake Wisniewski of Ozaukee Country Club. He and the two Kohler pros had tangled all year for the honors of Assistant Player of the Year. As for the WPGA Member and Senior Player of the Year, those honors went to Michael Crowley of Waukesha’s Morningstar Golfers Club.
