MILWAUKEE, WI (WSAU-MetroSource) — State and federal authorities are investigating the shooting death of a Milwaukee postal worker.
Authorities say the 44-year-old victim was shot and killed Friday evening while delivering mail. The suspect remains at large and should be considered armed and dangerous.
A silver Audi SUV with tinted windows was spotted at the scene, and investigators say it could be connected to the incident.
The victim was an 18-year veteran of the Postal Service. Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson called his death “alarming.”
A $50,000 reward for information leading to an arrest is being offered by the US Postal Inspectors. The FBI and local officials are also assisting in the investigation.
