Sheboygan Police Chief Christopher Domagalski has been honored with the 2022 Champion for Kids Award. The honor was conferred at the annual conference of police chiefs held this month in Dallas, Texas.
The organization “Fight Crime: Invest in Kids” awards the Champion honors from chiefs of police, sheriffs and prosecutors across the US who have shown an outstanding commitment to both public safety and the success of the next generation. That organization’s National Director Josh Spaulding noted that Chief Domagalski “…has been an effective advocate, in particular, for families gaining access to the early childhood care and education programs they need to set their kids up for success early in life.”, and added, “He has also been a powerful supporter of voluntary home visiting programs…that help parents provide safe, nurturing environments in their children’s earliest years.”
The issue is personal for Chief Domagalski, the father of five, who commented that “Creating a safer community for our kids has been one of my highest priorities as a law enforcement leader. And I look forward to advocating on behalf of our youngest Wisconsinites for years to come.”
