Jack Edward Brill, 78, of Oostburg, passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at Froedtert Hospital.
Jack was born to John and Evelyn (Mentink) Brill on February 8, 1944, in Sheboygan. He attended Oostburg Christian School and Oostburg High School. Jack was united in marriage to Elaine Huibregtse on April 18, 1964, at First Reformed Church in Oostburg. He was employed at Eggebeen Builders for 20 years, Nemschoff Chair as a pattern maker for 10 years, and Ongna Wood Products for 13 years. Jack also did countless woodworking projects on the side for other people through the years. After retirement, his passion was making toys and over the years, donated 20,000 to various restaurants and businesses to hand out to children.
Jack was a member of First Reformed Church in Oostburg, where he served as deacon and sang in the church choir. He looked forward to his motorcycle rides with the local Sunday morning motorcycle group. Jack thoroughly enjoyed his mornings at Judi’s Place at the men’s coffee table. He loved more than anything spending time with his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Jack is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elaine; son, Mike (Sandy) Brill; daughters, Heidi (Brad) Riddiough and Gina (David Jr.) Kwiatkowski; grandchildren, Erin (Andrew) Muelbroek, Kaleigh (Westley) Meinnert, Shannon (Jacob) Dulmes, Nicole (Ross) Kaat, Zach (Lexi) Riddiough, Julia Kwiatkowski, and Brandon Kwiatkowski. He is further survived by his brother, Sam Brill; sister, Mary Verlare; brother-in-law, Charlie (Joan) Huibregtse; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Carol Brill; sister-in-law, Lois Brill; and brother-in-law, Rich Verlare.
A funeral service to celebrate Jack’s life will be held at First Reformed Church in Oostburg on Friday, July 15, 2022, at 10:00am with Pastor Bob Rook officiating. He will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may greet the family at Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Thursday from 4:00 to 7:00 and again at church on Friday from 9:00 am until the time of service.
