Social media threats made against Fond du Lac High School have been traced back to their origins.
Fond du Lac Police and the School District announced on Tuesday that they’d identified and interviewed three Fond du Lac High School students and another male subject who was attributed to making the comment in question.
Investigators learned that a student walking through hallways last week Thursday overheard a male subject state that he had a gun, but she didn’t see any weapon nor hear any specific threats. She didn’t report the comment to authorities but once social media picked up on it, the comment spread to other platforms and came to the attention of Fond du Lac Police on Monday. As a precaution classes were cancelled on Tuesday, but were back on schedule for Wednesday.
