Cynthia “Cindy” Chouinard, age 63, of Elkhart Lake, passed away on May 31, 2022, at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
She was born in Michigan on July 13, 1958, a daughter of the late Robert and Rose Marie Cheney. Cindy attended Glenbeulah grade schools and Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah High School.
Cindy was a dedicated caregiver. She worked at group homes before running her own Adult Family Home for over 30 years in Elkhart Lake.
She enjoyed raising her animals on the farm, sitting on the porch with her coffee and listening to the birds, taking care of her flower beds, going on road trips with her friends, and spending time with her loving family.
She is survived by her grandson, Zander, as well as other family and many friends.
Cindy was preceded in death by her parents, son: Michael “Mike” Schmitz, and brother: Bobby.
Memorial Services will be held on Monday (June 6, 2022) at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth. Visitation will take place from 1:00-3:00 P.M. with a prayer service to follow at 3:00 P.M. Pastor Dale Miller of Salem Plankroad UCC will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Cindy’s name.
