The Green Bay Packers have claimed tight end Eli Wolf off waivers from the Indianapolis Colts. The first year pro played four years at Tennessee before finishing his college career as a graduate transfer at Georgia. Wolf was signed as an undrafted free agent by the Baltimore Ravens and spent the 2020 season on their practice squad. He was released and picked up by the Colts and again spent the year on Indy’s practice squad. Wolf played in 14 games with two starts at Georgia and was named the team’s Offensive Newcomer of the Year. While at Tennessee, the 6-4, 238 pound tight end caught 21 passes for 272 yards and two touchdowns.
To make room on the roster, the Packers waived wide receiver Chris Blair who spent all of last season on their practice squad.
