MADISON, WI (WTAQ-WRN) — Governor Tony Evers has a message regarding the weekend arson at to the Madison office of Wisconsin Family Action, apparently by someone angry about the Supreme Court moving to possibly overturn Roe versus Wade.
“They should be arrested and put in trial. This is unacceptable,” Evers said Monday. “The resolve around that is not violence, is not going to be solved by violence. So the message is bad, bad mistake. You should be arrested and put in jail.”
On our sister station, WSAU in Wausau, Republican candidate for governor Rebecca Kleefisch called the weekend arson at a Madison-based pro-life group “evil”.
“I condemn the disgusting and evil attack on Wisconsin Family Action, which is the good guy,” Kleefisch said.
Madison Police Chief Shon Barnes is urging anyone with information on the arson fire to contact the police department. The FBI is also involved in the investigation. There was no one in the office at time of the fire early Sunday morning.
