CHIPPEWA FALLS, WI (WSAU) — The identity of the 14-year-old boy accused of killing Lily Peters and hiding her body remains under wraps after a copy of the criminal complaint was released on Wednesday.
According to the complaint the suspect, who thus far has only been identified by the initial C.P.B., was riding a hoverboard while Peters was riding her bike when he asked her to go “exploring” off the trail.
That’s when the suspect beat her and assaulted her, then left her body along the trail and returned home. The complaint states that the suspect then showered and put his clothes in the laundry.
According to the suspect he had intended to kill her from the start, and even returned to “hide her better” when he heard there was a search for her.
WCCO television in Minneapolis has released the complaint in its entirety.
C.P.B. is being held in the Chippewa County Jail on a $1 million bond. The next court date in the case is set for late June, should the case remain in adult court C.P.B. faces a mandatory life sentence with only the possibility of parole to be discussed.
