Saturday, April 30th is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, and Sheboygan County resident will have plenty of places available to bring those unneeded medications for safe disposal.
Pharmaceuticals that aren’t properly disposed of can be misused or contaminate the environment. The April 30th event aims to keep those from happening by collecting unused medications at sites throughout Sheboygan County and the nation. Local efforts are being coordinated through HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital, Healthy Sheboygan County and the Sheboygan Police Department.
Sheboygan County drop-off sites will operate between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. at Generations in Plymouth, the Random Lake Fire Department, the Sheboygan Falls Police Department, and at HSHS St. Nicholas Hospital where a drive-through will operate in the west parking lot using the Taylor Drive entrance. Meijer Pharmacies will also be participating that day between 10 and 2.
