After dropping to a 2022 low of 59 active cases this past Thursday, the number of county residents known to have COVID-19 rose by 12 over the weekend to 73 active cases in Monday’s update from the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health. There were 19 new confirmed cases and 7 recoveries, and 29,405 cases in all have been recorded here during the pandemic. The 7-day average of daily new confirmed cases of COVID-19 was 6, up two points from Friday.
The total number of individuals requiring hospitalization at any time during the pandemic remained steady at 1,210, and only one person is hospitalized as of Monday.
No first-dose immunizations were recorded since Friday, and the number having received at least one dose is 72,516, or 62.9% of the population. 16 persons have gotten their second dose raising that total to 69,523, or 60.3%. 32.9%, or 37,927, have received boosters. That’s 11 more since Friday.
