Marcella L. Mallmann, age 96, formerly of Plymouth, passed away early Monday morning (March 21,
2022) at Sage Meadows Assisted Living in Fond du Lac.
She was born on June 12, 1925 in the Town of Mitchell, WI, a daughter of the late William and Ella
(Bilgo) Flunker. Marcella attended Ideal Grade School and graduated from Waldo High School in 1942.
On May 21, 1955, she married Carl Mallmann at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Cascade, WI.
Marcella was baptized, confirmed and married at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church and also taught Sunday
School for many years. Her husband preceded her in death on December 31, 1997.
She worked at Lakeshire Marty (Borden’s) and also at Gilson Brothers in Plymouth.
She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Glenbeulah and was a member of the ladies aid and also
served on the Pictorial Committee.
Marcella volunteered at the Bethesda Thrift Store, Rocky Knoll Health Care Facility. She enjoyed playing
dominoes, sheepshead, and cribbage at the Senior Center. She inherited her mother’s talent and love
for baking especially at Christmas time.
Survivors include her son: Chaplain James (Kathy) Mallmann of Brownsville and daughter:
Sharon (Lee) Mohs of Waldo; four grandsons: Tyler (Tiffany) Mallmann of Plymouth, Jacob (Amanda)
Mallmann of Tomah, WI, Jordan (Kayce) Mallmann of Columbia City, IN, Scott (Kelly) Mohs of Plymouth;
eleven great-grandchildren: Austin, Addie and Alayna Mallmann, Nevaeh, Isaiah and Noah Mallmann,
Brody and Hayley Mallmann and Daisy, Brady and Carsen Mohs.
She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and many friends.
Marcella was preceded in death by her husband: Carl; one grandson: Christian Mallmann; her parents:
William and Ella Flunker; her brother: Hilton and wife Helen Flunker; her father and mother-in-law:
Jacob and Minnie Mallmann; an infant brother-in-law; and two sisters-in-law, Ruth (Gerald) Grossheim
and Marion (William) Gasper.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday afternoon (March 26, 2022) at 1:30 PM at Suchon Funeral
Home in Plymouth. Chaplain James Mallmann and Pastor Don Johnson will co-officiate. Burial will be
in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Cascade. Services will be available via live stream on
www.facebook.com/suchonfuneral.com.
Visitation will be held on Saturday morning (March 26, 2022) at the Suchon Funeral Home from 11:30
AM until the time of services at 1:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Marcella’s name Zion Lutheran Church in
Glenbeulah.
