
Donald M. “Stoney” Steiner, age 89, of the Town of Plymouth, WI, passed away peacefully on Sunday (February 13,
2022) at his home with his family by his side.
He was born on June 25, 1932 in Sheboygan Falls, WI, a son of the late Walter and Coral (Barber) Steiner.
Don graduated from Riverview High School in 1950. He served in the United States Army from 1953-1955.
On January 24, 1959, he married Mary Owen at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. The couple
resided in Plymouth since their marriage. She preceded him in death on December 16, 1999.
After the military Don worked for the family business, Steiner Heating Inc. and in 1977 he took ownership until his
retirement in 1994.
In 2000, Don met his companion Maryann Robinson. He was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in
Plymouth, Plymouth VFW World Cheese Center Post 5612, and the Ladewig Zinkgraf American Legion Post 243
where he served on the Honor Guard and the Memorial Day Program.
Don loved deer hunting, fishing, bowling, playing cards, and sawing wood. He also enjoyed being a season ticket
holder for the Green Bay Packers and taking trips Up North to his cabin and the casino.
Survivors include his four sons: Michael (Shannon) Steiner of the Town of Greenbush, Jim (Deb) Steiner of
Plymouth, Jeff (Claire) Steiner of the Town of Plymouth, Greg Steiner of Plymouth; Don’s better half: Maryann
Robinson of Plymouth; eight grandchildren: Kurt Steiner, Dawn Steiner (special friend Tyler Green), Jill Steiner,
Shawnna (special friend John Kachelmeier), Rayah (Cody) Halbach, Brandon Steiner, Brittany and Ethan Steiner;
three step-grandchildren: Jason, Angie, and Betsey; four great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; one
brother: Dennis (Shirley) Steiner of Plymouth; and Maryann’s children: Ron (Ellen) Robinson, Ellen (Michael)
Thomas, Paul (Misty) Robinson, and Steven (Shelley) Robinson.
He is also survived by many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary; parents; and siblings, Lenny, Daryl, David, Sandy, and Betty.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday (February 17, 2022) at 12:00 PM at St. John the Baptist Catholic
Church in Plymouth. Father Philip Reifenberg, Pastor of the Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Parish
Cemetery.
Visitation will take place at the CHURCH on Thursday (Feb. 17 th ) from 10:00 AM until the time of Mass.
Military Rites will be accorded by the Ladewig Zinkgraf American Legion Post 243 at the Parish Cemetery following
Mass.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Donald’s name.
