(WHBL) – A man is safe after his truck crashed through the ice on Lake Winnebago.
The Fond du Lac County Sheriff’s Office says the 51-year-old man crashed through weak ice on the south end of the lake Saturday afternoon. The sheriff’s office says the man became halfway submerged but was able to climb out of his truck and make his way to an ice shanty.
The sheriff’s office says the lake has several large cracks that people should watch out for.
