POYNETTE, WI (WSAU) — A State Patrol trooper was injured in a crash along Interstate 39/90/94 in Columbia County this weekend.
Officials with the DeForest post say the unidentified patrol trooper was conducting a traffic stop near Poynette at the County Road CS intersection. Another driver lost control of their Holda Pilot and struck the patrol vehicle from behind.
The trooper sustained non-life-threatening injuries, while the driver of the Pilot was uninjured.
The crash is under investigation by the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office. It’s unclear if the driver of the Honda Pilot, who also wasn’t named, will be charged.
