(WHBL) – A Grafton man who ruined dozens of people’s tires by dumping nails in the road will not spend any time behind bars as part of a plea deal.
Theodore Drazovic of Grafton pleaded no contest to the charges on Monday. Police say he dumped nails in the road in Mequon for months before being arrested last year.
Prosecutors say at least 48 people had to replace their damaged or destroyed tires because of the nails.
The judge in the case accepted Drazovic’s plea, then found him not guilty due to mental disease or defect. The judge also ordered Drazovic freed on a conditional release plan to be coordinated with the state’s Department of Health Services.
