The second County Board Supervisor Vacancy within a month’s time was announced Wednesday by Chairman Vernon Koch.
The District 18 seat was opened when former Supervisor Jacob Immel moved out of the district, necessitating his resignation. That district includes wards 1, 2, 8, 9 and 10 in the City of Sheboygan Falls, and Wards 1 and 3 in the Town of Falls.
An earlier vacancy was announced in November for the District 3 seat vacated when Supervisor Vicky Schneider also moved out of her district. An appointment to that position hasn’t yet been made.
Qualified candidates living in District 18 wishing to serve the remainder of Immel’s term, which expires in April, should apply no later than 5 PM Wednesday, December 29. The County Board Chairman will appoint a candidate, subject to approval of the full County Board. The position comes with a base annual salary of $2,100 plus mileage reimbursement and a per diem paid for County Board and committee meetings.
Applicants should send a letter of interest and brief resume to the attention of County Board Chairman Vern Koch at the Sheboygan County Administration Building, 508 New York Avenue – Room 311, Sheboygan, WI 53081. Applications must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 29, 2021.
