It costs an average household somewhere around $1,700 to pay the monthly bills in Sheboygan. That’s according to the online bill paying service Doxo, which calculates monthly costs and compares across the nation.
Its latest report shows that the $1,698 bill for monthly expenses in Sheboygan ranks 359th out of the 914 markets in the nation, and is 18th out of the 23 markets in Wisconsin. Madison was the priciest at $2,175 a month and Marinette was most affordable at $1,427.
The biggest monthly expenses here are for mortgage and rent, which still come in around 27% below the national average. Another significant savings compared to the rest of the country is for mobile phone service, on which Sheboygan residents spend less than 1/3 of the national average. On the downside, Utility costs are about 12% higher than the national average, and auto insurance costs are almost 25% more.
