A goal to achieve the 70% vaccination rate among students attending the University of Wisconsin Green Bay campuses, including Sheboygan, has been reached according to Chancellor Michael Alexander. UW System President Tommy Thompson set that goal as part of the UW System’s “70 for 70” campaign, and said that he was “thrilled” by the achievement at UWGB and at Stevens Point, the only other campus to reach the 70% mark so far.
Under the 70 for 70 program, fully vaccinated students who attend universities that reach the 70% threshold are eligible to win one of 70 scholarships valued at $7,000. Four of those scholarships will be given to UWGB students. Those attending online-only are excluded from the program.
