LA CROSSE, WI (WTAQ) — One woman’s quest to visit every single Kwik Trip in the state of Wisconsin is almost over.
Cassandra Berger of La Crosse began her quest at the beginning of the year and is just a few Kwik Trips away from the finish line.
“I have been to 447 out of 457,” Berger told WTAQ. “So I only have ten left. I’m killin’ it.”
On the way she’s produced a series of videos detailing her adventures, which have been posted on the Kwik Trip Facebook page. In one, she tours a new Kwik Trip in Omro with one of her personal heroes: Kwik Trip owner Don Zietlow. She said it was something she wanted to do for a while.
“I literally just walked around Kwik Trip with him and asked him all the questions that I’ve been dying to know,” Berger gushed.
The superfan was starstruck.
“I found out his favorite ice cream was the same as my favorite,” Berger said. “So I just feel like ‘oh my gosh, are we the same person? Do I need to be best friends with this guy or what?’”
She even starred in a WTAQ video story when she visited stores in the Green Bay area over the summer.
Even after visiting nearly every single Kwik Trip gas station in the state, Berger says she has no regrets and isn’t sick of the place.
“My love continues to grow,” she said Tuesday. “They’re always adding new merchandise and continually growing, so I feel like as they evolve, my love for them evolves.”
Berger is only missing a few stores in the Milwaukee and Wisconsin Dells areas. She intends to finish up sometime in December.
As for what she’s going to do then?
“I’m like, okay, do I move on to all the Kwik Trip’s in Minnesota?” Berger asked. “I don’t know, I haven’t thought that far ahead.”
During her trips, Berger has been giving away gift cards to patrons as rewards for correctly answering her Kwik Trip trivia questions.
