Crazy to think that Thanksgiving is only a little over one month away, which means Christmas isn’t far behind.
Tree Expert Chal Landgren said there should be a REAL Christmas tree for everybody that wants one this year, but he wouldn’t wait too long. “Well, I think it will be a very good year for growers, and I think the statement that everyone that wants a tree will find a tree is probably accurate, but I would advise people that if they want a tree to get it early,” Landgren said. “I’d say the day after Thanksgiving, or that first weekend after Thanksgiving.”
He explains that overall, this year’s Christmas tree market is mainly a growers market unlike a few years ago when there was an oversupply of trees. “We certainly have fewer growers, and there’s fewer big growers, so there’s fewer trees overall. The numbers have been going down in terms of supply,” Landgren said. He advises not to be surprised if you end up paying more this year for a tree because the demand is growing for real Christmas trees.
