MADISON, WI (WSAU) — US Senate Candidate Mandela Barnes raised a whopping $1.12 million in the third quarter of 2021, according to a memo released by his campaign on Wednesday.
The memo states that Barnes received donations from over 19,000 individuals from all 72 Wisconsin counties. The average contribution was around $50, and the campaign says none of the money came from Political Action Committees.
Barnes is one of a dozen candidates on the Democratic ticket for the Senate seat currently held by Ron Johnson- who has yet to declare his intentions for the 2022 race.
Others in the field include Milwaukee Bucks Executive Alex Lasry and State Treasurer Sarah Godlewski.
The primary for the mid-term election will be held on August 9th, 2022.
