DETROIT, MI (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers have lost two straight after a 4-1 setback to the Tigers in Detroit on Wednesday afternoon.
The Brewer’s offense managed just three hits on the day as they got swept in this two-game series.
Lorenzo Cain’s second-inning double produced the lone run of the game for the Brewers, bringing home Jace Peterson, who had singled earlier in the inning.
Brandon Woodruff took the loss.. He allowed three earned runs off four hits while issuing just one walk and striking out seven in six innings of work.
Miguel Cabrera had an RBI double and Dustin Garneau hit a solo home run for Detroit. Starter Matt Manning notched his fourth win of the season after giving up one run while striking out six in six innings.
The Brewers have Thursday off, then they begin a 10-game home stand by welcoming the Chicago Cubs to American Family Field for the weekend. Game one is Friday night.
