CLEVELAND, OH (WHBL) – There was no letdown following Saturday’s combined no-hitter for the Milwaukee Brewers in Cleveland.
The Brewers belted out 13 hits and scored 11 runs in an 11-1 over the Indians to secure another series sweep for the Crew.
Kolten Wong and Manny Pina each recorded three hits and three others chipped in two hits including Avisail Garcia, who hit a solo home run in the third inning. Pina followed that up with a two-run shot that scored Daniel Vogelbach.
Garcia and Wong both recorded homers in the 8th.
Eric Lauer came within two outs of recording a quality start as he turned in 5.1 innings, allowing just three hits and one earned run. Brad Boxberger finished off the 6th, then turned it over to Aaron Ashby. He finished off the game to record the rare three-inning save, allowing just one hit.
The Brewers have Monday off, then head to Detroit to face the Tigers in a 2-game series beginning Tuesday night.
