The Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Office now says that one person involved in an accident on Saturday died of her injuries. The deceased was identified as 89-year-old Nelda Bartz of Port Washington. She was a passenger in an SUV driven by 62-year-old Dale Noll of Port Washington. Noll was northbound on Ozaukee County Highway “KK” when he was struck in the intersection with Mink Ranch Road by a car driven by 20-year-old Aryanna Wendtland of Port Washington. The Sheriff said Wendtland failed to stop and was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way – Causing Death. Wendtlant was flighted to Froedtert Hospital with life-threatening injuries while an 8-year-old girl in her car had only minor injuries.
Noll was flighted to Froedtert hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries, and his other passenger, 64-year-old Jeannie Noll, was taken by ambulance to Aurora Medical Center in Grafton with serious injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
