MADISON, WI (WTAQ) — Governor Tony Evers has vetoed a number of bills that would have placed limits on absentee voting in the state.
The governor vetoed a package of legislation that included limits on ballot collection and rules around how municipalities can conduct voter registration events.

Republicans say the bills would have strengthened the state’s election integrity and provided transparency.
Legislative republicans don’t have the votes needed to override the veto.
