ELKHART LAKE, WI (WHBL) – It took spike strips and a “PIT Maneuver” to stop a 5th time drunk driver out of Elkhart Lake Sunday night.
The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department responded around 6:30 after the driver had led Elkhart Lake Police southbound on Highway 57. Sheriff’s deputies joined the pursuit as they turned east onto Highway 23, deploying spike strips at Willow Road just east of Plymouth.
The driver was then stopped with the pit maneuver and arrested on charges of felony fleeing and drunk driving charges.
