Sheboygan County added another two deaths due to COVID-19, and an additional 8 cases of the disease compared to a week earlier. That, according to the weekly update from the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health issued on Thursday.
According to the data in that report, one of the deaths reported earlier this week was to a person in their 50s, while the other was someone in their 70s. Overall, the toll of 151 county residents include one between 10 and 19 years old, three in their 30s, five in their 40s, six in their 50s, twenty-three in their 60s, thirty-six in their 70s, and seventy-seven at least 80 years old.
13,893 county residents have been confirmed as having COVID-19, and 30 of those cases are now active. Total hospitalizations in the county during the pandemic number 645, six more than a week previous, however only one is hospitalized at this time.
The activity level in Sheboygan County is “Medium” with no significant change in trajectory. The current burden rate decreased in the last week, with 22.5 cases per 100,000 persons, down from 24.5 last week.
The Wisconsin DHS reports that the two active facility-wide investigations in Sheboygan County are at educational facilities.
48.6% of Sheboygan County residents have received at least one dose of vaccine, while 45.8% are fully vaccinated. The 56,016 with at least one dose is up 84 from Wednesday, while the 52,864 county residents now fully vaccinated increased by 162 since then.
