PITTSBURGH, PA (WHBL) – The Milwaukee Brewers have now won nine in a row after taking game one of a four game series on the road by a final score of 7-2 against the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday night.
Tyrone Taylor had a two-RBI night. Corbin Burnes picked up the win after tossing seven-and-a-third innings of one-run ball while giving up just four hits and striking out five.
While the Brewers were extending their winning streak, the Pirates dropped their fourth game in a row.
Wil Crowe was charged with his fifth loss of the year after surrendering two runs on four hits and three walks over 4.2 innings.
The last time the Brewers won nine straight was in 2014. They haven’t won ten in a row since 2003, but they’ll try to achieve that Friday night as the series continues. Tune in for pregame coverage starting at 5:30.
