Jacqueline P. Wheeler, age 81, of The Town of Herman, died early Saturday morning on June 26, 2021, at her home. She was born in South Milwaukee, WI on May 23, 1940, to the late Frank and Helen Burak Jonak.
Jacqueline attended local schools in South Milwaukee and graduated from South Milwaukee High School. She then further her education at UW-Stout and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Education. On July 2, 1966, she was united in marriage to Hugh Wheeler in South Milwaukee.
Jacqueline taught Home Economics/Family Consumer Education at Green Bay West High School, Gateway Technical College in Kenosha, and Racine. She retired from Starbucks Middle School in Racine in 2000.
She was a member of the American Home Economics Association and St. Peter & Paul Polish National Catholic Church in South Milwaukee. Jacqueline enjoyed sewing and traveling with her husband Hugh.
Survivors include her husband, Hugh Wheeler, of The Town of Herman; two sons, Trevor (Janet) Wheeler, of Buckeye, AZ, and Eric (Kara) Wheeler, of Chandler, AZ; a stepson, Troy Wheeler, of Minnetonka, MN; five grandchildren, Caden, Ryleigh, Bridget, Erin and Own Wheeler; and her sister, Connie Loomis, of Menominee Falls, WI. She is further survived by other relatives and friends. Her parents and a brother-in-law, Patrick Loomis Sr. preceded her death.
A funeral service for Jacqueline will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Park, 6706 Superior Ave Kohler, WI 53044 in the Gardens of Peace Chapel with Deacon Jonathan Meus officiating. Family and friends may gather in the chapel from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 2:00 p.m. Entombment will take place following the service.
