MILWAUKEE, WI (WHBL) – Jrue Holiday hit a go-ahead driving layup with 11.4 seconds left as the Milwaukee Bucks blew a 21 point lead but managed to hold on to beat the Brooklyn Nets 86-83 in Game Three of their Eastern Conference playoff series in Milwaukee on Thursday night. Brooklyn still leads the best-of-seven series two-games to one.
Kris Middleton had 35 points and 15 rebounds to lead the Bucks. Giannis Antetokounmpo was the only other Buck in double-figures, scoring 33 points with 14 rebounds. Brook Lopez had three points and 11 rebounds in the win.
For Brooklyn, Kevin Durant had 30 points and 11 rebounds, but missed an off-balance three as time expired that would’ve sent the game to overtime. Kyrie Irving chipped in 22 in the loss.
Game four of the series will take place Sunday in Milwaukee.
