The popular farmers markets operated by the Sheboygan County Interfaith Organization have returned to Sheboygan and Plymouth.
The markets offer fresh grown produce and flowers, and even specialties from local cheese artisans and bread makers, and since all vendors live within 100 miles, the dollars spent stay local.
Some of the new features this year include a “Market Fresh Box Program” where customers sign up in advance to receive a box of produce from the market the following week, and the “Market Fresh Meals”, a once-a-month collaboration with local chefs. Those boxes have all the ingredients for a full family meal that the customer can assemble with the help of recipe cards and cooking videos from the chefs.
The markets operate on Wednesdays and Saturdays at Fountain Park in Sheboygan from 8 AM until 1 PM, and in the Dairy Queen parking lot on Eastern Avenue in Plymouth on Thursdays from Noon until 5.
